The radio might be a great source of music but it’s not the ideal source for music for a store or even for a website. Unless of course your site or store sells items related to the radio then that might be the time it’s ideal. However, for businesses who’ve set up shops for wines, books, gift items or even dresses and shoes it’s better to have music that’s relatable to the items that’s being sold. Music for stores should not be simply picked out depending on the mood of the salespeople manning the store. The music should be targeted at the customers that go day in and day out and buy the items of the shelves. After all, music affect the buying behavior of every customer that comes in through the door, it should be tailored to the type of store as much as the decor.

If you own the store then you’ve likely put in a lot of thought to the decor to the set up and even to the overall ambiance that the store has. One item that should not be left out is the music that is played throughout the store. Music for business can add to the ambiance of the place. Apart from setting the mood of the place, the mood of the customer in the store can also be affected. Playing slow, soft music will make the customer linger in the store and likely browse the shelves more. While fast music will get the customer going and pick up their speed.
